RS485 - RS232C converter by TI's device ?

Hello,

I'm looking for RS485 - RS232C converter.
I think that MAXIM has the device for example MAX3160.

1.
TI has device that RS485 - RS232C converter ?
I can't find the device in ESP and cross refference of MAXIM device.

2.
If we use multiple device ( for example, MCU+Transceiver etc...), can we realize RS485 - RS232C converter?

Hello Ryuji,

TI has UART devices with configurable serial outputs like the TL16C752C. This device is a dual UART device and has the alternate function of RS-485.

Hello Diego san,

Thank you for the information.

If I use TL16C752 as attached image file, I can convert from RS232C to RS485 and from RS485 to RS232C.

Is my understanding correct ?

Hello Ryuji san,

Yes You can, However You must notice that the device must be toggling its configuration in order to send RS485 and receive RS232.
