Help me regarding line high differential line receivers

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS5281

Hello,

I wanted to convert the LVDS ouput of ADS5281 to LVTTL/cmos .So I decided to go with high speed differential line receivers..

But speed of ADS5281 which i am going to use in my project 50 Msps 12bits/pulse so 12 x 50 = 600 Mbps ..so i need the receiver which accepts the signalling rate above 600Mbps...so I went through through dis link to make a search http://focus.ti.com/paramsearch/docs/parametricsearch.tsp?family=analog&familyId=736&uiTemplateId=NODE_STRY_PGE_T  ..so interestingly i found few receivers like

but when i opened the pdf file http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/sn65lvds388a.pdf... it is showing upto 200Mbps..I need 600mbps ..i searched a lot but it is showing on the page but not in the pdf file ...can anyone help on this?/ is dere alternative to interface to ads5281 which has 50Msps?? i wanted to convert lvds ouput to single ended /lvttl/cmos output

  • Hello sir ,

Can anyone help on this one please

  • Most LVDS Receivers are single channel - LVDS IN to LVCMOS out.  The speed of LVCMOS is generally the limiting factor and likly the reason for the 200Mbps / 100MHz speed limit.  If you are coming in at 600Mbps, that is fine for LVDS side, but the LVCMOS side cant run 300MHz (600Mbps).  You will need some form of Deserializer for that to lower the single-ended data rate.  I suspect you found a typo in the spection table, and the datasheet is likely correct.
