Hello,

The SN74ALVTHR16245 is a bustransceiver with switchable data direction.

The DS recommend to not use a pullup resistor to data inputs. Reason is the active bus-hold circuity.

Question: does this affect also the DIR inputs?

If yes, how you can set the DIR pin to fix value, with or without a pull down/up resistor?

Hi Harald,

The active bus-hold circuitry only applies to the channel I/O's. The direction control pins and output enables should be pulled up or down to keep from floating.
