Hi There,

We've been using the TPD2EUSB30 part for USB3.0 protection on many of our products. We really like the device parameters and its 3-pin layout for ease of high-speed routing.

Would this part also be appropriate to use with DisplayPort signalling?

Hello,

I am moving this question to the ESD/EMI forum since you don't need a TI Display Port device but only need to know if the TPD device supports the data rates and voltage levels of DP. They would be able to give you a better support.

Hi,

We have not tested the device on a DisplayPort per se, but the -3 dB point in insertion loss is 7.5 Gb/s, exceeding the DisplayPort 1.1 data rate of 2.7 Gb/s and should do fine.
