version issue of TL16C2550IRHBR

Hi BU team

In the latest 100pcs samples of TL16C2550IRHBR supported to my cusotmer Houge, customer reported the internal version was 16550A while in the last samples the version is 16550A. TL16C2550IRHBR with version 16550 did not work. what's matter with these samples?

    The mark on  this TL16C2550IRHBR device is below.

    RHB
    TI    18K
    AXKE G4

     

    Customer’s core chip is ARM926EJS with two UART interfaces. Two TL16C2550 were connected to ARM to extend the port # or UART.

     

    The OS is Linux

     

    Customer reported below issue.

     

    1.  get the error code from TL16C2550IRHBR.

    2. see below information in the Linux OS.

    [    0.750000] serial8250.1: ttyE0 at MMIO 0x48000000 (irq = 164) is a 16550A 
    [    0.780000] serial8250.1: ttyE1 at MMIO 0x48000040 (irq = 165) is a 16550A 
    [    0.820000] serial8250.1: ttyE2 at MMIO 0x48000080 (irq = 172) is a 16550 
    [    0.860000] serial8250.1: ttyE3 at MMIO 0x480000c0 (irq = 173) is a 16550

     

    While in the last samples supported to customers, showed this information.

    [    0.750000] serial8250.1: ttyE0 at MMIO 0x48000000 (irq = 164) is a 16550A

    Would you support this issue?

     

    By the way ,would you provide the driver in Linux to customer for verifaction.

        Could you provide the connection schematic? and could you confirm if the system is able to read at least one of the registers of the UART.
