Our customer has a question about AM26C32.
I'm posting the questions for a customer:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
AM26C32 has Fail-safe circuit in case the inputs are open.
When the Fail-Safe circuit is working, the outputs always are High.
But we need that the outputs are low in case the inputs are open.
So, connecting input A to GND and connecting input B to VCC
with series resistors(10k-47Kohm) will make the output Low.
Is this idea good?
If the idea has problems of differential data transmission,
please tell us what to do.

thanks in advance
Takishin-san,
47k can easily reverse the output (to low) when the inputs are open.
However open fail safe does not apply when there is a termination resistor, 100 ohms, between A and B pins.
To support terminated or shorted fail safe, the pull up and pull down resistors must be lower value to get VID more than 200mV.
