Can the TLK3131 serdes be used for implementing a serial RapidIO interface when used with a fpga?

    Hi Tom,

    The TLK3131 will work with serial RapidIO. Serial RapidIO is based on the XAUI physical layer, which the TLK313x series devices were designed to meet. 

    Keep in mind though that the upper bandwidth of the TLK3131 is 3.75Gbps and I believe that v2 of RapisIO supports up to 6.25Gbps per lane. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
