DP83849 datasheet

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83849IF

Hi all.

DP83849IF has I/O 3.3V Supply and I/O Ground, Analog 3.3V Supply and Analog Ground. As I know, common practice - have IO and Analog ground the same plane, not two one point tied polygons. In second case I have questions below...

First, Core Ground - what ground it should be routed to, IOGND or ANAGND?

Next,  CD Ground - the same question (and what is CD stands for?).

More, Power Feedback Input/Output - what ground bypass capasitors should be connected to?

Then Bias Resistor Connection - the same question as above.

Does anybody can make it plain?

Regards, Serguei.

  • Serguei,

We have some application notes that might be helpful:

    • Reducing Radiated Emissions:  http://www.ti.com/litv/pdf/snla107a

CD stands for Common Driver or Cable Driver.  This is to indicate that both 10Base-T and 100Base-T signaling is driven onto the cable by a single (common) pair of pins.
