While TI does have both 1394 and USB devices, we do not have expereince converting one to the other. As USB is a host centric bus, you would need to determine what you want the device to look like in the USB space. You could do this with some sort of FPGA that incorprates both a 1394 link as well as a USB core - assuming you want your device to be a USB peripheral - and then the glue logic between the two. Conversely, you could use some type of USB-to-general purpose processor interface (which TI does NOT have) to get the gata into a MCU and then something like the TSB42AC3 device to pull it out onto 1394 us. However as stated to start this response we have no expereince with such an application and so we do not have any reference material or software to get you started.
I would recommend discussing with our 3rd party Quantum Parametrics (http://www.quantumparametrics.com/) who may have some ides on how to accomplish this.
