TUSB1310 A TUSB1210 Low Speed Peripheral Function

We try to emulate a USB Low-Speed Peripheral Function (like a mouse) with the TUSB1310A and the TUSB1210. We therefore need to enable an internal pull-up resistor on the D- line. How can we do that? We have no problems with all other speeds like Full-Speed functions where the internal pull-up on the D+ line works fine.

Question: Our settings are :(XcvrSelect = 10b, TermSelect = 1b, OpMode = 00b, DpPulldown = 0b and DmPulldown = 0b) an I still find a pull-up on D+ instead of D-.

Do you have a solution on how to enable a pull-up on D-?

Hello Emil,

The LS device mode is not allowed by a USB2.0 HS capable PHY, therefore it has been disconnected in TUSB1210, TUSB1211 and all TI USB2.0 PHYs. This is clearly stated in USB2.0 standard Chapter7 P119 2^nd paragraph “A high-speed capable upstream facing transceiver must not support low-speed signaling mode.”

Hello Diego

Thank you for your answer. What you say is, that your devices are unfortunately not LS device capable. Because: If I want to emulate a mouse, I must enable a pullup on D- and the LS transceiver. In such a mode, the FS/HS PHY's are disabled and the device would be a "non HS-capable PHY" in this specific mode and have no problems with Chapter7 P119.

Please tell me, if there is a workaround
