PCA9548A - Unable to communicate using software I2C

Hi Waqas,

The only real difference between the PCA9548A and most other devices is that there is no data byte sent following the control byte. The control byte contains all information required to enable/disable the switches and a data byte is not required but I am unsure that this could be causing a problem. 

Can you supply a schematic that shows the configuration of the PCA9548A along with a scope shot of the I2C transaction where you expect the PCA9548A to respond?

Please find the attached schematic for PCA9548A.

Currently we cannot provide you the scope shot. However we have printed some debug info in the I2C driver and we see that the slave device i.e PCA9548A does not send acknowledgments to the processor.

Nothing jumps out that is incorrect with the schematic. Could you let me know the exact I2C packet that is being sent that you are expecting a response from the PCA9548A? 

Have you tried to assert/de-assert RESET and then address the device?

Yes we have tried assert/de-assert RESET and that did not work.
