TUSB8040A1 unused pin

Expert 2355 points

I try to use USB port 0 and Port1 of downstreem port.

Unused terminal of USB Port2 and Port3  is need correct process.

So I have a question about  follow pin B20 and A22 .

B20: PWRON2z_BATEN2

A22:PWRON3z_BATEN3

Shuld it be pulled down or pulled down?

In D/S Table 2-4. USB Downstream Signals (continued),There is no description in case of unused pin.

  • Hello Kyt,

You can leave does terminals unconnected since they have internal pull-down resistors. Just keep in my mind that those terminals are sampled at power on reset, so if the 3.3V power rail is not at an acceptable level there is a risk that the internal pull-down won't be active at that moment. However to assure acceptable values on power rails before power on reset is required per the datasheet.
