DS100MB203 - How to reset registers to default

Hi,

Our customer is using DS100MB203 on their board. They are having trouble that they cannot reset register value to defaul by setting Register 0x00 = 0x01 (Register 0x00 bit0 = "1" : Reset)

Customer tried writing register 0x07 Bit[6] = "1" based on DS125MB203, then they were able to reset registers to default. But, this is not written in the datasheet.

Question)
Could you please tell us the correct way, how to reset the registers to default ?
Is the datasheet description correct ?

Kawai-San,

The Customer is using the correct register setting to reset the SBMUS registers. To reset the SMBUS register we need to set Register 0x07[6] = 1. Setting Register 0x00[0] = 1 does not have any effect. We are planning to change the data sheet. We deeply appologize for the inconvenience.

Nasser-san,

We need to send customer the correct register map of DS100MB203.

I believe DS125MB203 register map would be exactly the same and correct mapping for DS100MB203.

Can we tell customer to use DS125MB203 register map until the DS100MB203 datasheet will be revised ?

Hi Kawai-San,

Please go ahead and tell the customer for now they can use DS100MB203 register map for the DS125MB203 until we change the DS125MB203 data sheet.
