SN75DP130 back-drive current

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75DP130

Hi,

I'm thinking of using SN75DP130 in a conjunction with Intel HD graphics output.

There's a question regarding the back-drive current on HPD_SRC pin, when the display is powered on and plugged in, but my board with SN75DP130 is powered off. Intel recommends to use a mosfet for current blocking in the disabled state when the chipset output is connected directly to the DP connector.

The table "HPD/CAD ELECTRICAL CHARACTERISTICS" in the datasheet is not clear, moreover, it has a remark "Applies to failsafe inputs: .....".

How should this table be treated correctly? Is the leakage current value on HPD_SRC pin depends on the voltage applied to different inputs, as listed?

Thanks and best regards.
