Hi Team,

Please tell us how to treat the UNUSED high speed input / output pins of DS80PCI800.

Below is my recognition.

- As the device have signal detect circuit, I think input could be left open, which will mute the output.
Or, is it better to connect both IN+ and IN- to GND ?

- Output can be left open.

Am I correct ? What is your recommendation ?

You are correct; the unused differential input channels can be left open. The DS80PCI800 input signal detection will mute the output of the unused channels. Thus, the unused output channels will be idle and can be left open as well.

To save power, the unused channels can be powered down via the SMBus.
