Tmds To LVDS

Im currently working on a http://www.beyondinfinite.com/lcd/Library/LG-Philips/LM240WU2-SLB4.pdf lcd panels striped out of an Old Imac. The control board and inverter work as well at the original power supply. Nothing wrong with the panel back-lighting all still functioning.

Now my question is I've read from multiple sources that the LVDS cable from the Imacs control board can be directly spliced onto a DVI connector, however I suspect this might only be possible for single channel LVDS not the Dual channel this screen uses. If direct link is not possible I was considering the http://www.ti.com/product/ds90c387a paired with a DVI receiver of some kind, if this becomes the course of action what else would I need to make the interface using these two chips? this is the power supply already equipped with the 24v line for the inverter.

so this chip splits the dvi channels 0, 1, 2, and 3 to be the odd and even channel needed by the panel? I'm assuming that the dvi output from the lvds tx in the pin mapping is what goes to the dvi rx? or is that chip running directly to the dvi connector? When I put the board together it will require connectors for the power right (3.3,5,12)? http://www.ti.com/lit/an/slla134/slla134.pdf the panel does require me to run in a 12v line so i can do this separate from the converter that's not hard, i guess there is a mosfet a few 10k ohm resistors that need to be wired into the board.
