Where can I find a summary of differences between the DS90UB913Q/914Q & the newer DS90UB913A/914A SerDes - apart from the obvious extra coaxial option?
Thanks,
Mietek

Hi Mietek,
The DS90UB913AQ/914AQ chipset is electrically similar to the DS90UB913Q/914Q. The main difference is DS90UB913AQ/914AQ offers improved support for both coaxial cable and STP operation; whereas DS90UB913Q/914Q is intended for STP. Also note the minimum PCLK frequency is 10MHz and 25MHz for DS90UB913/914 and DS90UB913A/914A respectively.

Dec,
This confirms only the main functional & HW differences.
But what about at the register level? Are they really identical here?
Any table listing all differences would be very useful for replacement/upgrading purposes.
Thanks,
Mietek
Hi Mietek,
For DS90UB913AQ/914AQ and DS90UB913Q/914Q, the default register values are the same.
The DS90UB913AQ is pin compatible with the DS90UB913Q and the DS90UB914AQ is pin compatible to the DS90UB914Q.
The DS90UB913AQ needs to be paired with the DS90B914AQ to support coax cable. However, the DS90UB913AQ can work with the DS90UB914Q over STP cable and the DS90UB913Q can work with the DS90UB914AQ over STP cable.
