We met a problem with USB3.0 controller driver installation in Server 2008 R2 SP1 64bit OS.
In OS, I install the chipset driver firstly. And then I begin to install the USB3.0 driver. I try the xHCI driver v1.12.18 and v1.16.3. I will see a yellow flag on the USB Controller each time. And the two USB3.0 ports can't be used.
Please note that the two USB3.0 ports can be used in DOS, in redhat 6.2 OS, and in Server2012 OS. This proves that the hardware connection of USB3.0 controller is OK.
The question is that why we can't load the USB3.0 controller driver in Server 2008 OS? Do you meet the problem before? Are there any suggestions for us to debug?
In addition, I saw two difference TOP MARK for USB3.0 controller, one showing "PTUSB7320", another "TUSB7320". Are they same part or different part?
Design Background:
1. Romley-EP 2S + PCH(Patsburg-J) platform
2. USB3.0 controller: TUSB7320RKMT
2. The PCIE I/F of USB3.0 controller is from PCH lane5. Due to long trace length, we add PCIe 2.0 redriver for PCIe signals.
