DS110DF410 - How to minimize power consumption

Hi team,

Please tell us how to set the registers to minimize the power consumption of DS110DF410.

Our customer uses the device on their board, but in some cases, they don't need to use full function of the device.
Can you power down CDR block when it is not used (RAW output)?

I understand that DFE can be disabled with the following register setting.

ADDR 0x1E bit3 = “1” ... DFE Power Down(Default is "1")
ADDR 0x31 = 0x20  ... CTLE Adaptation, No DFE

If there is an other idea, please share us the information.

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Kawai-San,

When no signal is present at the input to the selected channel of the DS110DF410 the signal detect circuitry will

power down the channel. You can also use Register 0x14[7:6] to force signal detect on or off in order to power down a channel.
