Reset TUSB8040 and its default Windows driver states/device information

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8040

We have a design with a built in USB3.0 hub using TUSB8040. Once a USB3.0 device were recognized as USB2.0 because of a cable fault. After changing the cable, the problem wasn't solved.

We could only solve the problem by connecting a new device to the PC, then connecting the old one again. Based on our experience, TUSB8040 or Windows driver saves some kind of device information or state (which is cleared by connecting an other device).

We are investigating the issue for quality insurance reasons in which we need support. Can you give us information about the saved states/device information of TUSB8040 and its default Windows driver. How can this information be cleared?
