SN65HVD1785 Different behavior from two different LTC

I have an issue with the Rx line sticking low( stays low for several seconds or until another it gets another receive message ) during an open or idle bus. I have two lots and it only happens on one of the lots.

The working chips are

Date : 24k

LTC: AT2V

The chips that do not work are

Date: 03M

LTC: AR4D

Was there as issue with this lot?

Hi Morgan,

Any chance you could send a picture of the top and bottom of the device? I will check with quality right away to see if there is any known issue or if there is a possibility the lot trace codes do not match up.

Hi Morgan,

Thank you for sending the pictures! Our quality team believes that the devices that do not work may be counterfeit. The lot trace code does not match that of the actual device part number. However, the devices that are operating as expected have a correct match with the part number and lot trace code.

Can you share where you purchased the devices? If you bought them from an authorized vendor we can help investigate this issue for you.

Our vendor is BYD in Shenzhen China.

BYD received the components from Huaqiang North Electronic market on 9/14.

Huaqiang North Electronic market received the components on 8/30 from "Electronic Market"

I have asked for the full supply chain as "Electronic Market" doesn't seem like an authorized vendor.
