Hi,

Could you please tell us the following question.

Our customer is going to use "Rvsadj" in more than 4.47kohm.

"Rvsajd" is not recommended operating conditions(datasheet page 9).

Does this adversely affect operation of TMDS261B?

Our customer wants to improve " radiation noise ".

Therefore, make VDD small by making “Rvsadj” big. (datasheet paga 21 Figure23)

Hello,

Reducing the voltage swing will indeed reduce the EMI, but could also make the signal to be non-compliant when testing the eye diagram.

More than that, we can not assure the device functionality when using the device out of spec.

We have one more question.

Does "Rvsajd" affect the others of VOD(Differential Output Voltage)?

For example, "Peak-to-Peak Residual Clock Jitter"

(datasheet page 20 Figure21)

Hello,

The quick answer is no, the Rsadj only affects the voltage swing, the jitter is a timing parameter. Nevertheless, changing the voltage swing could cause a change on the set-up and hold times of the signal and these parameters do interact with the jitter.

I would not expect a dramatic change on the jitter when changing the value of Rsadj.
