TUSB926x_Burner problem

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB9261

Hi all,

I am working with the TUSB9261 in a custom board and want to flash the Micron M25P10A EEPROM memory.

The problem is that when I connect the device and run the TUSB926x_Burner only this appears (comparing with the Flash Burner user guide)

No Firmware device nor SATA TUSB9261 USB Device appears.

Also, in the application doesn't appear the Get Current Serial Number.

So, before flashing another device and not accessing after, what can I do?

Best Regards.

Inigo

  • Hi Inigo,

This is because you don't have a valid Firmware image programmed on your board's EEPROM. When no there is no valid FW image on the EEPROM the BootLoader of the TUSB9261 will enumerate. You can use the TUSB926x FlashBurner application to program a valid firmware image. Just select on the GUI's window the BootLoader instance, select a valid firmware image (available at ti.com) and click on the program button. For more information please follow the instructions on Chapter 4 of the FlashBurner user guide.

The 'Get Current Serial Number' functionality is only available for the TUSB9261's Firmware not the BootLoader. This button will only appears when you have a valid TUSB9261's firmware programmed on the EEPROM and is loaded successfully by the device.

  • Hi Alexis,

I have done that, and nothing happens, my PC doesn't detect the Loaded FW. The FW I loaded is includede in sllc416j. I have loaded the .hex file.

After that, when I reconect the USB3.0 and reopen the FlashBurner application, nothing appears in the computer tree.

Is it this common? What can I do to solve this problem?

    Best Regads,

  • Inigo,

After clicking on the program button are you getting the 'Programming Succeed' message?

After programming, could you send a screenshot of the TUSB9261 instance on device manager?
