Hello,

I wanted to know if you use a superspeed hub but only supply 4 high speed usb devices, can they all perform at max bandwitdh. So could you have 4 usb 2s running at 480mb/s through the superspeed hub, or does it just use the usb 2.0 hub internally and you only would get 1/4 of the max bandwidth."

Hi Chuchen,

The superspeed hub incorporates a USB 2.0 hub. The bandwidth for each port will likely be better than 1/4 of the maximum USB 2.0 throughput, since the buffering of the hub can offset some of the inherent overhead in the USB protocol. The true bottleneck for throughput is usually the host controller port to which the upstream port of the hub is connected.
