    Hi Eli,

    The TUSB8040A1 is equivalent in functionality and parametrics to the the TUSB8040A, however the A1 version contains several fixes for issues/erratas of the A version so it is recommended to use the A1 version.

    By your 7 port hub question, you mean a SuperSpeed hub? If so, there are no plans at the moment for a 7 port Super speed hub.
