         Do we have any EEPROM programming tool and reference EEPROM data for DS80PCI800 that can be proviede to customer on SMBUS mode?

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for posting, and my apologies for the delayed response.

    Unfortunately, we currently do not possess an EEPROM programmer per se. In the Analog Launchpad (ALP) software, there is a way in the EEPROM tab to take .nrd EEPROM register data and convert to an Intel format hex file (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_HEX). Burning the EEPROM afterward requires a third-party.

    The EEPROM hex file generator in ALP will only work if the SMBus registers have already been mapped to their corresponding EEPROM registers (see p. 17 of DS80PCI800 datasheet) and loaded into the EEPROM tab.

    If you can generate an .nrd file of the desired SMBus register settings and send me the file (m-lu@ti.com), I can return an appropriate .nrd file to load into the EEPROM registers.

    What EEPROM programming tools are you looking to provide? If I have a clearer picture of what you are aiming to provide, I may be better able to answer your question.
