Can I use the TI Retimer IC(DS125DF111) on SAS/SATA signal?
The DS125DF111 can be used for conditioning SAS/SATA signals as long as the rate and sub-rate settings are set appropriately to lock onto either the 1.5G/3.0G/6.0G signal. The internal VCO for the DS125DF111 ranges from 9.5G-12.5G, so setting Rate = 01'b and Subrate = 10'b will allow the PLL to lock for signal conditioning.

Greetings,
DS125DF111 has not been designed or characterized to support SAS spec. Could you please send us a block diagram of the application? There are other signal conditioning devices which support SAS requirements. Please take a look at DS125BR401 and DS125MB203 and let us know your block diagram.
