TUSB7320 - Windows8 xHCI Driver

Guru 19785 points

Hi Team,

I understood that you should use the Windows8 inbox xHCI driver for Windows8 environment.

[Question]
Does Windoes8 xHCI driver program any of the PCI registers ?

[Question]
How can you read the value of the PCI register ?

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

I realize that this post is related to the Rx Compliance issue, Am I right? Sorry for my delayed response.

Windows 8 xHCI inbox driver indeed manipulates the PCI registers of the host (I don't know how the xHCI driver does it) . In order to manipulate (read/write) the PCI register of the host after it has been enumerated by Windows, you will have to write a Windows driver that could access the PCI registers of the host, so this is not something trivial.

Send me an e-mail to alexis.cortes@ti.com with your contact info and I can give you more details about this.

    Best Regards,

    Alexis Cortes.
