Hi,
We find ourselves in the twilight zone between hardware and software in trying to figure out why we can’t get the TUSB1210 device to talk to the TI DM3730 processor. We can’t even read the registers. We are at the mercy of a hardware layer in the DM3730 which does not permit any control or test of the TUSB1210 device. We just get a message that says “sorry, nothing there”.
I have attached the schematic page from our design. The TUSB1210 design was implemented based on the one provided in the data sheet for the design. The TUSB1210 will be connecting to a USB hub device on another PCBA.
We have checked the power up sequence closely as well as the CLOCK, CS, and RESETB signals. The only thing we see that does not match the power up sequence is that DIR signal takes over 800 ms before it drops to 0, whereas the data sheet indicates this should occur within 0.54 ms from RESETB going high.
Cheers
Calum
