Dear TI

We have use TUSB8040A1 in our system , We have EMI issue in USB2.0 signal , BTW , we have add choke in USB2.0 DP DM line. How about the choke minimum current ? SMSC is 27.7mA.

How about TI TUSB8040A1? we need check our choke spec.

Hello sorry for the delay,

We don't have a recommendation spec for an external component, what is the 27.7mA value of? Is it the input current of the smsc device or it is the maximum current supported by the choke?

The 27.7mA is SMSC DP and DP output current. so we need select chock current > 100mA

The customer worry chock will EOS

Hi Kerr,

DP/DM lines are designed to sustain max DC current of ~40mA.
