I need a linux driver for this part.

There's some information at this older thread, but the links no longer work. OMAP-L138: Are open source Linux 2.6.31 Drivers available for TI external dual asynchronous UART (such as TL16C2550)

    Hello Mike,

        Unfortunately the original support for this UART device is not longer working for TI and I don't have any information about why these links are not available now. However the TL16C2550 device has a parallel input (x86 architecture), so in order to use this device, you only need meet the timing requirements and follow a simple configuration process.
