TLK10232 - Unused input/output channels

Guru 19785 points

Hi Team,

Could you please tell me how to treat the UNUSED  INPUT and OUTPUT pins ?

- Low speed Inputs (INxxP / INxxN pins)
- Low speed Outputs (OUTxxP / OUTxxN pins)
- High speed Inputs (HSRXxP / HSRXxN pin)
- High speed Outputs (HSTXxP / HSTXxN pin)

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

Typically with these types of devices I recommend that the unused pins be tied off into a known state such as VCC or GND. I believe that is the proper thing to do in this case as well but I want to double check with a colleague of mine because we may be able to leave these pins floating? I will follow up with you after I have that conversation.

  • Hi Michael-san,

Thank you very much for your help.

We look forward to hearing from you after double checking with your colleague about unused input and output pins.

I believe output pins could be left floating.

    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Kawai
