SN75DP139 - About “Rvsadj” value

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN75DP139

Hi,

Our customer would like to use "Rvsadj = 7.5kohm" for make VOD(Differential Output Voltage) smaller.

But, "Rvsajd=7.5kohm" is not recommended operating conditions.

(Could you please refer to “TMDS output swing voltage bias resistor of datasheet page11” & “Figure24 of page22”)

Does this case adversely affect SN75DP139?

(Example; false operation etc..)

Regards,

Kanemaru

  • Hello Hideto,

As is stated in the note of the page 11, values above 4KOhms  may may result as a non-compliant TMDS output voltage swing, that's it. greater values for RVsadj will not cause any malfunction or damage to the SN75DP139. However as a result of  the possible non-compliant TMDS output voltage swing, your implementation may be facing interoperability issues.

    Regards,

    Diego.

  • Hi Diego,
