[ DS90UB914A-Q1 ] Output Bus Sharing

Hi,

In my customer design, the output from DS90UB914 is shared between other video decoder IC.

See drawing below.

For this configuration, they put DS90UB914 into power down mode with PDB pin.

During this status, Video Decoder IC drive the bus and signal applied to DS90UB914 output port as well.

Does this cause any problem?

And please let me know, if you have any other idea where I need to consider.

If you put the device into power down mode via the PDB pin, the data outputs and GPIO outputs go to a high Z state, so you should be fine. If you power down by removing the supply to the device, there may be problems since there are ESD diodes connected between the outputs and the supply which may be forward biased by the Video Decoder.
