DS80PCIxxx - HSpice Model Simulation

Guru 19785 points

Hi Team,

Our customer is simulating their channel using HSpice model of DS80PCIxxx, but is not working well.

From the readme.txt and ds80pci.sp data file, I could not understand the model structure.

Where are the place of the following nodes ?

prbsin_p/n
chanin_p/n
chanout_p/n
partout_p/n

I have attached the image and question to the file. Please tell us how to do the correct simulation.

## Do you also need to connect AC coupling caps at input and output of the devices ?

I could send you customer's simulation result.

Best Regards,
Kawai

  • Hi Kawai,

Somebody is looking into this for you and will reply shortly.

  • Is it possible to simulate two DS80PCIxxx in the transimission line with the SPICE model ?
(one on TX side and other on RX side.)

It seems that the SPICE model of the DS80PCIxxx can not change NODE name as it is encypted.

    Please give us your advice.

If you need the version information, I could send you the SPICE mode which I have.

One another question is that is it better to use the IBIS-AMI for simulation ?

    Best Regards,
    Kawai
