Hi -- I am wondering if the LMH1983 absolutely needs to be configured to generate a 24.576 MHz clock from a NTSC black burst signal input.

What I read on the datasheet implies that this is the default.

Are there any risks to the part being in limbo without programming?

Hi Lance,

As you said, this is the default audio clock and there is no need to have any other setting. Having said this, it would be a good idea if you could get one the evaluation board just to make sure electrical interface and other relavent parameters meet your application.
