DS32EL0421 /0124 doesn't lock

hi,

I'm trying to get my 0421/0124 to communicate. I'm using remote sense and dc balance. I'm seeing LVDS clock at the 421, but no output. I see that we left the resistor off of the VOD_CTRL. Can this cause no output?

I've connected a 9.1K resistor to VOD_CTRL and now have output. It appears you need a resistor.

Hi George,

You are correct. This pin requires a pull down resistor as described in the pin description section of the datasheet and also in Figure 11, the Typical Interface Circuit.
