We need some advice about using TLK106x PHY in Ethercat application.
One of our customer is interested in "Fast Link Down mode" feature of the TLK1xx
which could be used with BeckOFF IC - ET11xx.
But the problem is that how do we enable this "Fast Link Down mode" feature.
The TLKxx datasheet mentions this option is selected only through the
Software Strap Control Register 3 (SWSCR3).
But the BeckOFF document(page 42) below mentions that
"PHY configuration must not rely on configuration via the MII management interface, i.e., required
features have to be enabled after power-on, e.g., by default or by strapping options."

So if we want to connect MCU->ET11xx->TLK1xx,
the TLK1xx MII will be connected to ET11xx's MII and ET11xx may not be able to do the register settings,
then we won't be able to select the Fast Link Down mode feature.
Please let us know if there is any advice on how to enable this feature without relying on ET11xx.
