Firewire Chipset for Sonar X3 Producer

I'm getting lot's of 'Audio Dropouts' and distortions. Cakewalk as well as Sweetwater recommend TI Firewire for Sonar X3. The problem is, I don't know which chipset and configuration type to get. My specs are below. Thanks much!

MOBO: ASRock 98ODE3/U3S3
Firewire card: IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers (VIA 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (creating dropouts)
Disk Dive 1: TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 ATA Device
Disk Dives 2: WDC WD32 00AAJS-65RYA0 SATA Disk Device
DVD Drive: ASUS DRW-1814BL ATA Device
My DAW: Company is Cakewalk. Product is: Sonar X3 Producer
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Hi Benn,

I am going to move this post over to our consumer and computing interface forum. I see that they have parts to support 1394 and have answered questions on Firewire applications before so I think they are the right people to address this.
