SN65LVDS324 and CCD FRONT-END

Hi,

It is possible to use the SN65LVDS324 with a CCD analog front-end? For example, I would like to use it together with a AD9928 front-end for a dual channel CCD. This ic has 4 LVDS outputs. Is it possible? There is any TI CCD front-end compatible with the SN65LVDS324?

The SN65LVDS324 only supports the following vendor specific configurations:

LVDS Parallel 10bpp mode (SONY)
LVDS Parallel 12bpp mode (SONY)
2-Channel 2-Port 12bpp mode (PANASONIC)
2-Channel 2-Port 16bpp mode (PANASONIC)
1-Channel 4-Lane 12bpp mode (Aptina)
1-Channel 4-Lane 14bpp mode (Aptina)
1-Channel 4-Lane 16bpp mode (Aptina)
1-Channel 2-Lane 12bpp mode (Aptina)

Where the only possible compatible configuration is 2-Channel 2-Port 12bpp mode (PANASONIC), please confirm that the AD9928 is compatible with this configuration or provide more information of the AD9928, in order to determine whether is compatible or not.
(I only found a brief datasheet here http://www.analog.com/static/imported-files/data_sheets/AD9928.pdf )

Dear Diego

My customer want to send an image sensor signal to Process far from about 5M away.

Image sensor is Panasonic MN34227/9..I've recommended SN65LVDS324 because it support Sub-LVDS output from Image Sensor.

Is my recommentation correct?

And SN65LVDS324 support up to 1-channel 4-lane 12/16bpp. However I can find only 2-channel 2-port 12/16bpp mode in the datasheet.

Does SN67LVDS324 support 1-channel 4-lane? Or only support 2-channel 2-port?

Below table is the speficiation of Image Sensor.

Hi,

We have to correct the DS, the SN65LVDS324 only supports 2-channel 2-port modes for Panasonic sensors. so it won't be compatible with your sensor.

1. Resolution : 1080P
2. Bitrate : 222.75Mbps
3. Pixel Rate : 74.25Mpix/s
4. Frame rate : 30 fps
5. LVDS Format : 12bit
