Please let me know below about the power supply specification of DockPort.

When supplying the electric power supplied from PC (USB) or AC power supply to other connection places, is there any maximum power(~W)?

It seems that a customer's hope wants to connect and carry out the electric power supply of the miniature display (x2) from DockPort.

Thank you for your consideration.

  • Hello,

I don't understand your question, do you want to know what are the maximums input current and voltage to the HD3SS2521?

    Regards.

  • Hi,

Could you tell me some features about DockPort standard?

Like the maximum power delivery , and the maximum device peripheral number of one DockPort port.

How DockPort connects to their devices? by using a switch hub or daisy chain method?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Hwa-jiung

DockPort does not define the power delivery scheme.  The current spec(DockPort v1.0) defines one to one connection only: DockPort host to DockPort device where the DockPort host consists of DockPort host controller + USB host/hub + DP Source, DockPort device = DockPort device controller + USB hub/device + DP Branch/device.  The USB hub or MST hub can be connected over the DockPort connection to expand the number of USB or DP ports.

The DockPort v1.0 spec is available for download on VESA website for more details.
