TUSB1211 communication issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1211

Hi

We met a problem about usb communication in TUSB1211.It have 50% pass samples and 50% fail samples with usb can't communication.
I had measure the single  ULPI_DIR/ULPI_NXT/ULPI_D0  the fail sample have nothing ,and the good samples have single just as attachment.
And the clk and ULPI_STP single are same on fail samples and good samples.

We already check smt ,and Hw design but we still have no idea about it .  So I will send some samples for SW team check again.

Do you have any idea can fixed this issue? Thank you for your support

The file is TUSB1211 circuit

  • Hi Kerr Chang,

It seems that you are using ULPI PHY in device mode. Would you please elaborate your problem in more details? I have following questions:

We met a problem about usb communication in TUSB1211.It have 50% pass samples and 50% fail samples with usb can't communication.

Do you mean that while connecting your device to your computer, it is not being recognized sometimes?Or are you facing some other problem?

  • Hi Kerr Chang,

    Thanks for information.

If you or your team can say something more on exactly what happens on ULPI signals during failure, someone in this community might be able to comment on that. During 1st post, you mentioned that during failure, there is no activity on some signals. But that information is not enough.

I think if you would contact person who have designed ULPI interface being used in your system, he/she would be able to more quickly detect possible reasons behind this failure. If you have purchased that from third party, you should contact them. Hope in this way you would be able to solve it more quickly.

    Regards,
