PDB Timing requirement for DS90UB913A/914A

Hi TI,

Can we use PDB pin in DS90UB913/914 as reset pin?

According to the datasheet, It recommend to use a external RC network to ensure PDB arrives after all the VDD has stabilized.   Is there any recommended value for RC?

If I drive PDB pin using a LOW pulse as a hot reset, What is the mimimum pulse width to reset the chip effectively?  1us is OK?

Thanks & Best Regards!

Tony

PDB will reset register values to their default states, and will reset the state of the PLLs, but it also powers down many portions of the chip, and as a result the timing will be quite slow.   I would feel more comfortable with a PDB time which was comparable to the lock time on the deserializer, which is on the order of 10ms.

A much easier and faster way to reset the chips is via one of the reset bits in the Power and Reset register.
