Hi Team,

Could you please tell me if LMH1983 could use without Vsync and Fsync signal ?

Customer only have Hsync signal and they are willing to synchronize the clocks to Hsync signal.

LMH1983 only have one user defined setting in the Auto Format Detection table. So I believe it would be difficult to support several formats.

Is it possible to use LMH1983 in such case, which only have Hsync signal ?

Hi Kawai-San,

Auto format detection is based on VSync as well. If we do not provide VSync we cannot do auto format detection.

Please note Auto Format Detection Codes table in the data sheet. Codes 30 and 29 are for the cases where we apply 10 or 27MHz to HSync pin. In this case there is no need for Vsync. Would this help the customer?.

I understood that LMH1983 would not be able to use without Vsync signal, as auto format detection cannot be used.

I will ask customer if they could prepare 27MHz or 10MHz.
