TUSB8040A1 for USB2.0 HUB

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8040A1

Hello,

Customer requests me the USB2.0 HUB that can support high speed.

But no USB2.0 HUB that support high speed, so I am considering I can propose TUSB8040A1.

I want to confirm TUSB8040A1 can be used for following requirements.

1)    They need USB2.0 HUB(Support up and downstream LS/FS/HS)

2)    Their host is USH2.0 so do not need super speed support.

If TUSB8040A1 can be used for above requirements, pleas advice which terminals are not needed and how to treat them.

Best Regards.

  • Hi Toshio,

Please see my answers for your questions:

    1) The TUSB8040A1 is a certified USB3.0 hub silicon. Per specification all USB devices should be backwards compatible, so Yes, it supports HS, FS and LS.

    2) It is fine, they can only use the HS lines of the hub. All SS related terminals can be left unconnected.

    Best Regards,

    Alexis Cortes.
