TFP401a Decoupling

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TFP401A

Is there a more recent app note than the 2003 note on decoupling with tantulum caps regarding the tfp401a. I am aware of some safety concern using the tantalum caps for a power connection, and we are looking for a more recent app note, or to confirm that the 2003 note is still valid.

From the note:

Place one 0.01-μF capacitor as close as possible between each DVDD device pin (Pins 6, 38, 67) and ground. A 22-μF tantalum capacitor should be placed between the supply and 0.01-μF capacitors.A ferrite bead should be used between the source and the 22-μF capacitor.

Does this cap need to be low ESR? Is there any recommendations for a tantulum part number?
