LMH0387 Short-circuited 48pin and 47pin

My customer is using LMH0387.
They short-circuited 48pin and 47pin on the system board.

48pin and 47pin is reserved pin.
TI recommends to make those pins open.

Does a problem occur by the short circuit of 48pin and 47pin?

Hi Shimizu,

The data sheet specifies that these pins are a do not connect and I recommend that your customer follows what the data sheet specifies for the devices. I will check though to see what the danger is in shorting these pins together.

Hi Shimizu,

Pins 47, 48 are recommended "Do not connect" in our datasheet.

If you have not start board layout, you should keep these pins unconnected.

Can you clarify if your customer already have these 2 pins shorted?

My customer had already finished layout.

Short means the bridge of 48pin and 47pin on mass production board.

If short is problem, my customer must rework their product.

Shimizu,

Let me check the bond diagram of this part and will advise if there is any issue in shorting pins 47 to 48.

Based on discussions with TK, i checked the bonding diagram. It should be ok to connect or short circuit pins 47 and 48.
