PCA9306 Vref1 and Vref2

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9306, TCA9517, TXS0104E-Q1, TXS0102-Q1

Please tell me about PCA9306.
Can you use the same voltage for VREF1 and VREF2?

  • If you are trying to use the same voltage at VREF1 and VREF2 it is not helpful to use the PCA9306. The PCA9306 is a voltage translator ONLY.

Please see description of operation in this post for some extra details.

I recommend using the TCA9517 if you are searching for an I2C buffer that can separate A- and B- side capacitance.

  • Hello Brian,

    Thank you for your reply.

I examine it with a device for vehicle installation.

    TCA9517 is not Q1.

Can TXS0104-Q1 use VccA and VccB with the same voltage?

  • Yes, the TXS0104E-Q1 can be used with VCCA and VCCB at the same voltage, but this product is also not a strong buffer like the TCA9517. It has a "one-shot" for quick rise time but weak drive strength after the one-shot is done driving.

There will also be a release of a TXS0102-Q1 soon that will work for I2C signals, but I am still not clear if it is good for your application.
