LMH0302SQ

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH0302

Hello,

I am currently using four LMH0302SQ for serializing data across four different channels. The data is coming from a FPGA on a daughter board through a HSMC connector and then coming to LMH0302.on the main board. The 3G data coming to main board is properly output by all 3 channels except one channel. That channel has a trace legth far compared to others. All the four channels are perfectly fine for HD mode but in 3G mode only one channel is not working fine. I have checked signal strengths on all channels and they are fine (pk-pk  800mV). Kindly request you to provide a solution.

Thanks,

Karthik

Providing a solution will be easier once we know a little more about your system - you indicate that the one channel which has issues has a longer trace length than the others - I assume that this is the trace between the LMH0302 and the connector - or the trace to the LMH0302?

Please contact me at mark.sauerwald@ti.com and I will work with you to find a solution to your issue.

  • Hello Mark,

Thank you so much for the response. With reference to your response on E2E forum regarding trace length, it is the length from HSMC connector to differential input of LMH0302. The one which is not working fine for 3G has the trace length approximately 60 mils more than the other channel next to it which is working fine. From signal integrity report we got to know that the layout was good enough for carrying signals at 2.97Gbps. This is our observation. Please do the needful. Please get back to me for any other inputs.

    Regards,
    Karthik
