  • Hi Ivan,

If you go to www.ti.com/can it will bring you to all of our Controller Area Network Products. You can then use the check boxes in the parametric table to filter the results that are displayed. What you are looking for is the "HiRel Enhanced Products" in the "Rating" column.  We have 3 devices that have this rating and 2 of them are 3.3 volt devices (233 & 230).

    SN65HVD233-EP - Enhanced Product 3.3-V CAN Tranceiver
    - -
SN65HVD1050-EP - Enhanced Product Emc Optimized Can Transceiver
    - -
SN65HVD230M-EP - Enhanced Product 3.3-V Can Transceivers With Standby Mode

Please let me know if you have any questions,

    John

  • HI John

    Thanks.

Would upi be able to advise if any of the three parts has been used in Space related application?

    Ivan

  • Hi Ivan,

Let me check with the Business Development Manager and get back to you. I do not know this off hand and I am not sure how much information in regards to other customers we are able to share.

I'll get back to you as soon as I know more,

    John

  • Hi Ivan,

The business development manager just got back to me and said that since 2008 most all of the business for these products has gone through distribution. Furthermore, we service a large customer base across 100s of thousands of applications.  This large customer base works mostly through distribution and we are not always privy to the end applications.   As such we don't have immediate knowledge of our EP-CAN devices being (or not being used) in space applications.\

That looks like all I will be able to find out for you. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    John

  • Ian,
I have a minor correction to this tread. Hirel - Enhanced products are defined here: http://www.ti.com/ep. We do not currently specify any radiation performance data (TID or SEE) for these PEMs (plastic encapsulated micro-circuit) devices. The released space devices that have defined radiation performance can be found here: www.ti.com/space. We currently do not have a released -SP (space) CAN device.
